CalculatorNexa Currency Converter — How It Works & How to Use It
The CalculatorNexa Currency Converter gives you instant access to live mid-market exchange rates for more than 150 global currencies. Whether you are travelling abroad, shopping from international websites, sending money to family overseas, or managing business finances across borders, this tool helps you understand exactly how much your money is worth in any currency — in real time, at no cost.
Unlike rates shown by banks or currency exchange bureaux, the mid-market rate displayed here is the raw interbank rate — the true midpoint between global buy and sell prices. This is the benchmark used by financial institutions worldwide and the most accurate starting point for any currency comparison.
How to Use This Currency Converter
Enter your amount
Type any number in the Amount field. You can enter whole numbers (100) or decimals (99.95). The converter accepts any positive value.
Select your currencies
Choose the currency you are converting From and the currency you want to convert To. Both dropdowns contain all 150+ supported currencies, grouped by major and all others for easy navigation.
Read the result
The green result box instantly shows the converted amount and the exact rate used (e.g. “1 USD = 0.9234 EUR”). The percentage badge shows how the rate has changed over your selected chart period.
Use the ⇄ swap button
Click the swap button between the two dropdowns to instantly reverse the conversion direction — for example, switching from USD→EUR to EUR→USD with a single click.
Explore the chart and tables
Scroll down to see the historical rate chart for your selected pair, the multi-amount conversion table, and the live 35-currency rate board — all updating automatically as you change your selection.
Understanding the Exchange Rate Chart
Rising rate (green chart): The “From” currency has gained value against the “To” currency over the selected period. For example, if you are viewing USD/EUR and the chart is green, the US Dollar has strengthened — meaning 1 USD buys more Euros today than it did at the start of the period.
Falling rate (red chart): The “From” currency has weakened against the “To” currency. For example, a red USD/TRY chart means the US Dollar now buys fewer Turkish Lira than it did at the start of the period — TRY has strengthened relative to USD.
Period buttons: Switch between 1 Day (hourly data points), 7 Days, 30 Days, 90 Days, and 1 Year views. Shorter periods show recent volatility; longer periods reveal the broader trend. The percentage change badge updates to match the selected period.
Percentage change: The ▲ or ▼ badge below the result shows exactly how much the rate has moved over the selected chart period. A badge showing “▲ +2.14% (30D)” means the From currency is 2.14% stronger against the To currency compared to 30 days ago.
